This course will not be a dry and dull introduction to one of the most important area of mathematics like many schools would teach it. Students of this course will get a visual idea of what a derivative is and what exactly it means to approach a value infinitesimally close. All the essential ground rules of differentiation and integration will be covered in this short series. However, the main focus is to build a strong foundation in the field of calculus so that more rigorous concepts, which may be introduced in the future, will become easier to understand. Instead of just focussing on computations of derivatives and integrals, more time will be spent on understanding the nature of these two concepts and how they are related to on another. Towards the end, these concepts will also be applied to the real world so that the true relevance and importance of calculus can be seen.
