Gain a full picture of what life was like for the Vikings with a course considering this fascinating culture from all angles, including their architecture, transport and legacy in the modern world.
This course aims to teach ages 7-11 (Key Stage 2) about the history of the Vikings. This will include learning about Viking life, history and culture, and the ways the Vikings have influenced the world today. The course is broken down into ten lessons, where students go into detail about what life was like for the Vikings. Students will explore what living life as a Viking was like, as well as going into detail about Viking beliefs, the role of women, transport and the legacies Vikings have left on the modern world. In all lessons, active conversation and group discussion is encouraged. Each lesson will last one hour. The course will include digital handouts, reference images and illustrations and reference videos. All students are encouraged to start a Viking workbook.
