This course is designed for new Year 7 students who wish to get a firm foundation in the area of algebra. It will start with simple concepts and then build on these to create a strong base for all future work in algebra, which is a fundamental part of maths GCSE. During this course, students will become fluent in essential numerical and mathematical concepts, whilst developing their problem-solving, logical reasoning and critical thinking skills. Students will be guided through their learning, with worked examples, as well as answering questions independently, so they become confident in their own abilities. Those students who complete all their homework between lessons will receive the maximum benefit from this programme.
